Village Missions’ ministry is to revitalize dying churches in rural communities in North America through placement and support of church missionaries.
As part of a complete rebranding solution, Contexture created a visually rich and dramatic banner series, as well as a rebranded quarterly newsletter featuring original artwork created by Contexture.
The banner series illustrates three themes that are central to Village Missions’ focus: Recruitment, Missionary Recognition, and Prayer and Financial Support. Contexture’s design team created evocative landscapes, from original and stock photographic elements and extensive digital paintings. Each banner measures 28″x72″.
The quarterly newsletter (rebranded “Country Matters” by Contexture) features original artwork by the design team created specifically for each issue.

A lone traveler. Vast foreign landscapes. The faces of humanity…
Undercover with Persecuted Christians captures the rarely-seen world of real people living in countries hostile to the Christian faith.
To visually represent the program’s premise in a single image, Contexture portrayed the host, Dr. Carl Moeller, approaching the outskirts of an ancient city in central Asia. They then combined it with a cross-section of portraits from lands known for religious oppression, backed by a rough texture to invoke a permeating sense of harsh conditions for the stars of the program – the persecuted.
“The Amen Solution”

The Amen Solution is an innovate program for brain-healthy living, created by Dr. Daniel Amen of the Amen Clinics, Inc.
Using original and stock imagery, and organic shapes and colors, this warm and inviting informational brochure captures the focus of Dr. Amen’s new program – living life to its fullest through optimized brain and body health.
Created on extremely short notice, this highly effective presentation was turned around in under 2 days, in time for the client’s program premiere.
“Taking it to the Nations”

Taking it to the Nations is the support newsletter for the Power to Change Ministries, lead by missionary Jason Frenn. Jason and his wife and children have spoken to more than 2 million people throughout North and Central America over the past 15+ years, and have led more than 200,000 people to Christ, and helped plant and grow countless churches.
To commemorate their recent outreach in Cuba (that nation’s first such evangelistic event since the 1960s) Contexture created a vibrant and youthful cover design for the ministry newsletter, along with art design for its feature article, celebrating the “new life” that has come to thousands of new believers in the small island country.
“Change Your Brain, Change Your Body”

Set Design
When Dr. Daniel Amen asked Contexture to design the set for his latest public television special, Change Your Brain, Change Your Body, he desired that a large emphasis be placed on “family” – one of his primary personal motives for maintaining optimal brain and body health.
Designed around a color palette that complemented his new book of the same name, the fresh, vibrant imagery of the set featured larger-than-life candid photos from Dr. Amen’s own family library, as well as other snapshots of healthy activities. The result was a bright and expressive set that Dr. Amen called “perfect.”

SoCal School of Ministry (formerly District School of Ministry) enables lay-ministers, and those who’ve “heard the Call”, to advance their ministry credentials through accessible weekend classes.
As part of their new identity package, Contexture created a standing banner and matching brochure that highlight the school’s message in a concise visual presentation. The school understands that receiving “the Call” is just the beginning, often leading to a sea of unanswered questions. Prospective students find great benefit in the school’s clear-path approach for achieving their calling.
